Morning Workouts
Changing over to morning workouts is supposed to be difficult they say. You are more groggy and sluggish in the morning, it is harder to eat an hour or two before your workout, etc. So how does one do this without too much discomfort?
Well, the easy answer is, I’ve got young children, early comes naturally. For those of you who don’t, some of these tips may help:
Redundancy: Set more than one alarm. Keep at least one of these alarms a good walk away from your bed. By making you get up and move, this will help get your blood flowing and break the grip of sleep.
Prep Early: Get things done the night prior, setup your clothes, get the coffee made so all you have to do is plug it in, set out all your gear, shave, etc.
Commit to it: You’ve already committed to doing a triathlon, commit to doing this for at least a month. Within that time you will build the new habits it will take to keep this going.
