Registered.

Last week I took the pluge, and decided that I am now too committed to this to turn back, and actually registered for Jack’s Generic Triathlon.  So far this looks to be not just a newbie friendly race, but from all reports a well organized one as well.

Event Description…
A great triathlon event that is short enough for the beginner, and still challenging enough for the experienced athletes to ‘light it up’. Held at the Texas Ski Ranch, this is an event you definitely don’t want to miss.  Jack’s Generic Tri has a new date of August 5th for 2007. The date of JGT has been moved to accommodate our new event, The Austin Triathlon, which will be held on Labor Day, 2007 in downtown Austin. It is our long-term plan to make the first weekend in August the new permanent date for Jack’s Generic Tri.
Jack’s Generic is the 5th event in the Texas Tri Series for 2007.

Race Description…
Participants in the age group division will be eligible for age group awards and USAT rankings. Participants will leave in wave starts with others in their age group.
