Last week had to be one of the worst commuting I’ve had… Ever.
Monday: Commute: fine, 40mi round trip, 2h 30min
Tuesday: Commute in: 20mi, 1h 7min. Saged home due to weather (the wife was concerned)
Wednesday: Commute in: 20mi, 1h 5min. Saged home. My rear tire hit something, and then was no longer recognizable. The dude at the shop I walked to was impressed, and donated a new tire to the cause. The wife came again due to weather.
Thursday: Commute: 16mi round trip, total trip time 1h 30min. About 8mi in, my front Derailleur cable snapped, forcing me down into my lowest gear.
Friday: Commute: 40mi round trip, total trip time 45min. Took the car in, as I was fearful the bike would spontaneously combust or fail in some other glorious way.
This week however is off to a good start, 60mi in, not a problem… yet.
